Scrum for Pirates

Ahoy!  Since it's International Talk Like A Pirate Day it seems appropriate to mention an idea that I've been kicking around for a while: Scrum For Pirates.

I'm a big fan of Scrum (and if you want to read a book about it, I'd definitely recommend Ken Schwaber's  Agile Project Management With Scrum) but over time I have come to prefer some differences from the "standard" Agile methodology that it describes.  These differences are particularly applicable if you're working with a really strong group of engineers.  For some reason, talking about all this with @philpearl, we started referring to this as "Scrum For Pirates".

More on what it means, later, when I'm not so busy raiding ships and drinking rum.  Arrrr.
